About the site
AQUALIFEIMAGES is dedicated to the people in this
world who love underwater life. It is our goal to put up a large number of high
quality images of all the beautiful things that can be seen
under water on this planet, and provide relevant information about these
underwater images. Viewing the underwater images
(in low resolution), and reading the related information, is free of charge and
will be a very useful source for people who are learning about the underwater
life.
Just a grip out of what can be found here:
Oceanic whitetip sharks, hammerhead sharks, whale sharks, tiger sharks,
dolphins, manta rays, blue spotted stingrays, moray eels, nudibranchs, spanish
dancers, pufferfish, octopusses, sepias, seahorses, turtles, etc.
and there is lots and lots more to be found in our underwater images
database.
Creators
The site is under construction by
Jeroen van Vlierden. It is filled with content by
Dray van Beeck
and his wife Karin van Beeck-Swanepoel. They provide as many
images as possible with extra information. Our underwater database is rapidly
growing with images and information.
Navigation results
Search results will be shown in a table, with
thumbnails first. If there is information related to the images, the border of
the thumbnail will be blue. If you want to see a bigger image and/or its
related information, just click on the thumbnail. All browsing options are available on the left side of the webpage.
Extra information and sources we use
Website
www.fishbase.net,
and books as red sea reefguide (Helmut Debelius) and the Collins pocket guide
of coral reef fishes (Ewald Lieske, Robert Myers), are our main sources when
extra information is provided.
